Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O to release film soundtrack

frontwoman is to release the soundtrack album to ‘Where The Are’ next month.

The singer, billed as And The Kids, has composed the music for the -directed film, and has enlisted her plus members of Queens Of The Stone Age, The and Deerhunter.

The album will be released on in the USA. A single, ‘All Is Love’, will be released on August 25, reports .

Musicians who appear on the album include O’s and , plus Dean Fertita of Queens Of The Stone Age and The Dead Weather, Jack Lawrence of The and The Dead Weather, Aaron of and and producer Greg Kurstin.

Speaking to News, said the involvement of director and ex-boyfriend Jonze was the main reason she signed up to produce the music for the film.

“I got involved because of Spike,” she said. “I guess there is a about my music or my persona that he always just kind of dialled into. So I guess he thought I should make music for ‘Where the Are’, and I assembled a group of mostly to make the music.”

She added: “To play on it and it was a really amazing experience and I think what he has accomplished with the film is basically the impossible. There’s a lot of stuff that they told me Spike couldn’t do that he did it anyway, and it was a really inspiring and exciting thing to be a part of.”

‘Where The Are’ is released in cinemas in the UK on December 11 and in the USA on October 16. Watch the official trailer for the films by clicking below.
