Sania Mirza Went Down In Mixed Doubles In US Open 2009

India’s Sania Mirza and Daniel Nestor of went down 1-6, 4-6 to Americans Carly Gullickson and Travis Parrott in the second round of the mixed doubles competition at the US Open tennis tournament.
Sania and Nestor lost in 49 minutes at Flushing Meadows here Sunday to bow out of the competition.

It was the end of Sania’s campaign at the Grand Slam, having lost earlier in the second round of singles and women’s doubles events.

In junior boys section, India’s Yuki Bhambri advanced to the second round with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Cox of America.

The junior Australian Open champion will next meet Sandro Ehrat of Swtzerland.
